Carole’s work emanates beauty in form and design.
Her jewelry, paintings, and clayworks echo direct
observations of the beauty of nature found on the
Leelanau
Peninsula
and in other pristine areas. Her works represent the aquas, blues, and pinks of the water, tans
of beaches and dunes, arrays of green and brown of
the forests; pink, purples, orange in sunsets and mountains, and the transformation of dawn to dusk within the circle of seasons. Formal qualities of art are always evident in her pieces. Carole’s approach to art is to
portray the essence, nuance, and structure of nature
in the least complex way.
Tom’s work is about elevating aesthetic experience
and appreciation by using a variety of tools, techniques and materials to communicate to the viewer the uniqueness of a condition or the majesty found within nature. Tom believes it is the role of the artist to take whatever tools and materials necessary and use them to create an outcome that transcends all other forms of expression. His art is a visual, concrete and elemental language. He does not try to restrict or narrow its translation, choosing
rather to broaden its meaning and impact to the
greatest possible audience.
